Description: The practice matrix (and supporting documents and information), which includes the conservation practices, potential adverse effects, potential beneficial effects, considerations, effect determination, and KICT proximity thresholds were provided by the NRCS. The NRCS data steward for the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves used this information with geospatial data sourced from various federal and state agencies to create this module for the KICT.
Copyright Text: The NRI segments came from the U.S. National Park Service, the Federal Scenic and Wild Rivers came from the United States Forest Service. The KY Wild Rivers, Reference Reach Waters, Exceptional Waters, Coldwater Aquatic Habitat waters, Outstanding National Resource Waters, and Outstanding State Resource Waters came from data created by the Kentucky Division of Water and the US Geological Survey.
Description: The practice matrix (and supporting documents and information), which includes the conservation practices, potential adverse effects, considerations, effect determinations, and KICT proximity thresholds were provided by the NRCS. The NRCS Data Steward for the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves used this information with the necessary geospatial data to create this module for the KICT.
Copyright Text: Much of the geospatial data for this module was sourced from the Kentucky Division of Water, including DOW EPA-Approved TMDLs for Springs, Lakes, and Streams, KY DOW 2022 Integrated Report 305(b) Assessed Springs, Lakes, and Streams, KY DOW's Special Use Waters and Waterbodies, 24K NHD Blueline Streams, and USACE Section 10 Waters. The geospatial data used in the Wetlands Module of the KICT were also used to create this module. That wetlands data was provided by the NRCS staff and included the National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) data for Kentucky from the USFWS, the Wetlands Crop Data Layer (CDL) from the NASS of the USDA, the NFSAM Wetland Determination (red dot) Data Layer from the FSA of the USDA, as well as the NFSAM Wetland Delineations and Soils DataMart from the NRCS.
